OEM & ODM Development: From Tech Pack to Bulk Production

Full-length dark brown faux mink fur long jacket

For many apparel brands, the biggest challenge is not finding a supplier—it is turning an idea into a production-ready garment without losing design intent, timeline control or quality consistency.

Step 1: Share the project direction

The process usually starts with a tech pack, sketch, reference sample, product photo or seasonal concept. Useful information includes target market, size range, materials, colors, trims, lining, labeling and target order quantity.

Step 2: Material and construction review

Before sampling, the supplier should review whether the selected faux fur, fleece or outdoor fabric suits the garment structure. This avoids problems such as excessive bulk, poor drape, difficult seam finishing or unstable color effects.

Step 3: Pattern development and sample making

Sampling turns the idea into a physical garment. During this stage, buyers can confirm fit, workmanship, material hand feel, color, closures, lining and overall commercial appearance.

Step 4: Pre-production approval

Once the sample is approved, details should be locked before bulk production. This includes measurement specifications, material standards, packaging method, labels, quality requirements and delivery schedule.

Step 5: Bulk production and shipment

During production, progress updates and inspection checkpoints help buyers maintain visibility. Final inspection and packing review help ensure the shipment matches the approved sample and order requirements.

Fominte supports OEM and ODM faux fur apparel development for brands, importers, retailers and e-commerce businesses that need flexible sampling and reliable bulk production.
